| DTV Transition Coalition Toolkit |
|
On June 12, 2009, all full-power television stations in America must begin broadcasting exclusively in digital. While the benefits of digital television (DTV) are remarkable, viewers who use antennas to watch TV need to take action to upgrade. And it's best if they upgrade right away. Consumers who use antennas to watch TV must upgrade with either a converter box, a new TV set with a digital tuner, or a pay TV subscription – or else their TV sets will stop working. Using the resources on the right, this toolkit will guide you and your members in making the upgrade to digital. As the transition date draws near, use this toolkit to help your members learn about the DTV transition and keep them informed on the latest issues facing consumers. Please forward this toolkit to anyone you know who uses an antenna to watch television. |
